Wednesday Club night at Bathgate Academy saw the Edinburgh League Handicap Cup Competition take place too.
A busy and fun night for all as the club night was on , so we had a few tables full with club members playing and the Edinburgh League handicap cup competitions going on at the same time.
We had a visiting team from Edinburgh University , who played extremely well!
West Lothian won 5-4 in the video footage below. Featuring West Lothian Handicap Team 1 (Keith, Kevin and Aidan) against Edinburgh University – a heard fought exchange!
But the after matches chat the following days, was all about a couple of young players from the Murrayfield Club. Who in the cup tie, ‘won the day’ with a 6-0 score.
This defeat for our West Lothian Team 2 (Martin, Tommy & Kelly) away game to a Murrayfield IV Team, consistied of 3 promising young people -all aged 12 or under! Mixed feelings of disappointment for the score from our club players -and also some genuine excitement at seeing some great young players coming up in the sport. We love to compete but we are all one big Table Tennis community!
