Hi Club Members,

My thanks to Benny, Mei and Kelly (non-playing captain), for their help in Team V in the 10-0 win against Murrayfield XII at Ocean Terminal yesterday evening, (9th February 2023).

Even with lack of match practice Benny won all 3 of his games, and his last game was of significance coming from 0-7 down to win his match in the 4th end 12-10.

Mei is certainly playing well at present only losing 1 game in her singles matches and one in the doubles with me. Mei’s restriction on not playing doubles was removed and this should help for the remaining 6 matches to be played.

Next week is a good week for practice as it is handicap cup week and we are out of that competition so get along to the club and get working on weaknesses and help out with some of the newcomers to the club. It might be a good week to have a handicap competition of our own. I will put this out to all members.

Our upcoming matches are firstly at home to Corstorphine V on Thursday 23 February 2023, who have a new player strengthening their team and the following week away to Gullane on Wednesday 1st March 2023.
