Some of our Junior Table Tennis Club Members competed this weekend, at The Bells Sports Centre, in Perth. Our Club Junior members played in the U18s and U14s Scottish Schools Championships.
Some good news from the Scottish Schools Table Tennis Championships competition in Perth. We had two Junior Club members competing in Perth, Jamie and Aditya.
Jamie finished 4th in the U18 Scottish Schools Championships, and as a result he has qualified to represent Scotland at an international tournament in Ireland in June. Huge Congratulations to him!
He beat the third seed Harry Blackhall, which was key to securing his spot in the team. It’s been a good week for Jamie as he made his Edinburgh League Premier League debut this week, winning all his matches.
Aditya did really well in the U14’s Scottish School Championship, topping the initial group he was in and finished 5th overall. Aditya did superbly. He was sixth seed and finished fifth seed, just missing out on the top 4. One to watch for the future!
Jamie and Aditya were on good form and played well and consistently. Well done to both our Junior Club Members , we are extremely proud of your effort and achievements.
Our Club Chair Martin said:
Well done Jamie and Aditya and their respective families for the support, time and encouragement given to these young talented players. A credit to their families and to WLCTTC (West Lothian Community Table tennis Club), and to all who have been involved in their coaching and development.
