Almondvale Shopping Centre’s new Pop in and Play Table Tennis will be opening soon! West Lothian Community Table Tennis Club with support from Table Tennis Scotland- are delighted to be opening the new sports drop-in facility in Livingston.
The Almondvale Centre Pop in and Play, joins two other Pop in and Play Table Tennis venues across Scotland. One located at the Gyle Shopping Centre and one at Ocean Terminal, Edinburgh.
West Lothian Community Table Tennis Club believe that sport should be enjoyed by everyone. Whether you are a competitive person or playing just for fun. The new Pop in and Play table tennis venue, gives everyone the opportunity to come in and try it for free.
Where is the Pop in and Play Located?
The new venue will be located in the old Watt Bros unit, at the Almondvale Centre, Livingston. If you know where the British Heart Foundation shop is -then it is right next door (at the ASDA end of the shopping centre).
When is it opening?
In May 2022. West Lothian Community Table Tennis Club have just signed the lease. The tables are set up and the club is now waiting for some window signage to be printed and installed. The shopping centre management team have been very supportive of the project and the club thanks them for their time and energy on the project.
As soon as the club has a rota of volunteers, to organised and greet new players to the venue -then we will announce the opening here and on Social. A few local reporters are keen to support the clubs opening too, so keep an eye out online!
Is it really FREE to play?
Yes! West Lothian Community Table Tennis Club has charitable status, and is funded in the main by members subscriptions. WLCTTC – the club and Table Tennis Scotland are keen to promote the sport. And to let everyone, no matter age or ability- have a go!
What are the planned opening times?
The Pop in and Play Table Tennis sports facility, will be open initially 11-2pm each week day and its free to play. The opening times and dates will be published soon and is dependant on volunteers from the club to run it too.
